TEL AVIV — Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived Friday in Tel Aviv and met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a tense moment in U.S.-Israeli relations. Netanyahu has been set on a ground incursion into the densely packed Gaza city of Rafah — despite warnings from President Biden against such an attack. “The many civilians who are massed” in Rafah have nowhere “to go to get out of harm’s way,” Blinken said Thursday. Later Friday, a U.S.-sponsored resolution supporting an immediate cease-fire and hostage release will be up for a vote at the U.N. Security Council in New York.
